I am working on the HOx/RO2 instrument for the NCAR-NSF GV (HIAPER) through the Upper Troposphere-Lower Stratosphere (UTLS) TIIMES initiative for the upcoming Deep Convective Clouds & Chemistry Experiment (DC3) Field experiment for approximately 5 months. During this time, work on the instrument design has been discussed, and a number of pumps and other components have been selected and ordered. At this point, a new vacuum system has been ordered that will be used as a prototype for the vacuum system on the aircraft, and may result in being one of the final vacuum systems for the HOx/RO2 instrument. The next year will see significant work on the construction and testing of many of the components for the instrument, beginning with the OH instrument.

We deployed our instrumentation in the Megacities Impact on Regional & Global Environment (MIRAGE), the Intercontinental Chemical Transport Experiment (INTEX-B) campaigns and the Pacific Atmospheric Sulfur Experiment (PASE) field sudies and are now analyzing the data.
